The EMD is an embedded device designed to measure, display and log wattage from multiple AC power sources concurrently. It does this with a 4.32% accuracy even when the power sources are prone to electrical spikes. It was designed as a power monitoring solution for green households. 1. Introduction Our objective is to design an energy monitoring device that could measure the energy consumption of a household appliance then data logs that information. Our product will be plugged into the wall outlet while the household appliance will be plugged directly into our product.
